Between 1987 and 1991, Rick worked with
several area architects as a Senior Designer and Project Architect,
overseeing all phases of project development. His design work
included custom residences, residential additions, mixed use
commercial buildings, restaurants, retail stores, offices,
and manufacturing and industrial facilities.
In
1991, Rick received his license to practice architecture in
the State of New York. He has since developed an independent
practice while continuing to work in collaboration with other
area firms, offering architectural design consultation and building
code analysis. Recent independent commissions include new custom
residences, residential additions and renovations, retail stores,
multiple dwellings, restaurants, hotels, manufacturing facilities,
and furniture design. Rick is currently working on the conceptual
design and site plan for a new sanctuary for a synagogue in
Westchester County, NY.
During his years in the Hudson Valley,
Rick has formed solid working relationships with area Building
Inspectors and Planning Officials. This network of communication
and his acquired knowledge of area zoning and planning regulations,
enables our clients to expeditiously obtain the necessary
project approvals.
Rick served for nine years as a member, and two years
as the Chairperson, of the Town of Esopus Environmental
Advisory Board. He is currently a member of the Chamber
of Commerce of Ulster County, the New Paltz Chamber of
